Job description

For our client are we looking for a Maintenance Engineer (also called a Method Engineer). As Maintenance Engineer you will be part of the Maintenance team whom are part of the Maintenance Support Organization and facilitates the proper use of maintenance methods within Field Operations Department and Inspection and Corrosion Department. The Maintenance Engineer is the link between the Inspection and Corrosion Department, Offshore operations department (PMO) and Maintenance Support within our Client. The Maintenance Engineer reports to the Team Leader Maintenance.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Maintenance & Inspection Methods with special attention to:

  • The quality of the technical data in CMIMS (SAP ECC6) (act as Key user)
  • The development and implementation of maintenance strategies, maintenance plans & spare parts philosophies
  • The timely execution of calling of the preventive maintenance work orders
  • The liaison with HQ specialists in CMMS to ensure last standards are updated and applied.

SAP PM KEY USER (ECC6):

  • Update Maintenance Plans / Items / Task list / BOM / Reference objects (based on feedback notifications)
  • Organize and prepare all maintenance and inspection programs
  • Train and motivate all SAP PM users to use the proper procedures; Support onshore and offshore crew
  • Ensure that the quality of SAP technical data is by means of periodically audits
  • Ensure that the use of SAP is in line with Company Rules guidelines

MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION REPORTING

  • Key user of SAP BW module (enable to create queries and reports)
  • Experience with ABAB databases
  • Experience with SQL databases (used in reporting application BI-Cycle)
  • Analyzing maintenance and inspection data, presenting data in available tools
  • Promote the available KPI’s to the various stakeholders, highlight deviations from set targets.
  • Participate in technical audits of contracted companies regarding NDT, WBDA, Integrity

 MAINTENANCE & INSPECTION ENGINEERING

  • Monitoring Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and providing practical solutions
  • Analysing equipment data (reliability / availability)
  • Analysing financial data (maintenance cost drivers)
  • Update RBM / RCM data models to determine Maintenance Strategy
  • Implement RBI strategies in SAP PM
  • Assist Inspection engineers with preparation of inspection data
  • Close Inspection reporting loop within SAP PM
  • Assessing data input quality of offshore technicians
  • Assisting supervisors and specialists with integrating maintenance concepts
Your responsibilities

  • Ensures integrity of SAP ECC6 data
  • Ensures the execution of maintenance engineering based on executed MSR’s
  • Ensures the execution of maintenance engineering based on Feedback Notifications
  • Produces monthly and weekly KPI figures, both for internal use, as well as for external (HQ) use

Job requirements

  • Candidates should have an Engineering degree (BSc, Beng or equivalent) with at least 5 years practical experience
  • Candidate should have knowledge of maintenance techniques like RBM, RCM, CBM
  • Candidates should know offshore environment and should understand maintenance in operations
  • Preferably in possession of basic offshore certificates
  • Practical experience with ERP systems is mandatory (preferably SAP PM and BW). Skills in Excel / PWP
  • Strong communication skills and a good command of written and verbal English are essential
